A Forum for foodies

I love food. I have always loved food. Not just in the sense of enjoying a good dinner. In the obsessive, slightly psychotic manner. I like to know what other people are eating, and why. When conventionality means you’re limited to three meals, it’s fun to vicariously live through others’ lunch and dinner choices. A simple fried egg deserves its praises sung as much as a whole joint of maple-glazed ham and fresh sourdough.

Writing about food helps me make sense of life’s dizzying moments. Amidst all the turmoil and angst, there will always be someone to share a story or joke with around the dinner table. Food brings people together. And, in doing so, it anchors us to the present, effortlessly leaving a breadcrumbed trail of memories without us even realising.

I have no expectations that my recipes, reviews and musings will be read by many. But, to those who do wish to glance over my pages or submit a piece of their own - I hope it brings some momentary comfort for you, too.
